FAQs

The market takes place in a large car park that is open on most sides so access is very good.

For safety reasons, stallholders cannot remove their vehicles until 15 minutes after the end of the market

The market is held in a car park, so all marquees will need to be weighted down.

We cannot currently provide electricity.

You may use your own (quiet) generator but we need to know ahead of time so that we can place you away from the residences along one side of the car park.

Please take all of your waste with you and do not pour anything away except for clean water.

The market is plastic bag and drinking straw free.

If we have to cancel the market (extreme weather/pandemic etc) we will notify you as soon as we can by text.

If you have already paid for your spot, this will be carried forward to the next market.

Open-flamed BBQ’s are strictly prohibited, including the use of heat beads and/or hot coals.

Garden beds or vegetated areas are not to be walked over or sat on.

Trees are not to have anything tied or affixed to any part of the tree.

Balloons and polystyrene foam must not be used.

We require stallholders to commit to the market (and make payment) by close of business on the Wednesday before the market.

This is to give us time to make any changes to the layout and/or find an alternative stall if a producer cannot attend.

Payment will be online via this website.

The market has been setup and is being managed by the Rotary Club of Sandringham. There is no third party management company involved.

Everyone you see, will be a volunteer that has given up part of their day.

The proceeds from the market after costs, will be used predominantly for local projects.

Yes, you will be made aware of the point of contact on the day.

The market will be promoted by the Rotary Club of Sandringham and Bayside Council.

In addition to street signage we will also be advertising on Facebook.

There will also be a series of posts on “the Bayside Hub” a Facebook group for Bayside residents. This has been a very successful channel for the Bayside and Black Rock farmers’ markets.

Post launch, there will be regular FB posts advising of the next market and any special events.

It’s a new market and there are bound to be things we could do better, so we’d love to hear from you.
